Scott W. Burton joined Cole Miller PLLC in 2016 after earning his Juris Doctor from Washington & Lee University School of Law. Scott has found his niche in family law because of his ability to work closely with individuals to craft unique solutions in each case. “Every client has a story to tell, and listening – and really hearing – a client’s story guides my strategy in finding the right way to approach each problem.”
Scott focuses his practice on a variety of areas of family and divorce law in Virginia, with experience in drafting & reviewing agreements, litigation, and mediation. “I recognized that each client’s needs will be different, and there is no one size-fits-all solution for the parents, spouses, and families that walk through our door.” Scott is well-versed in the full range of options that can be taken to address the objectives of his clients, both in and out of court.
Mr. Burton is active in local bar associations including the Fairfax County Bar Association, of which he is an active member of the Family Law Section, as well as the Arlington County Bar Association.
Scott lives in Arlington, Virginia and spends his free time attending Nationals baseball games and playing golf.
