Cassandra Sheehan majored in psychology as an undergraduate at Virginia Tech and planned to become a clinical psychologist. However, while working at a law firm after graduation, she realized she had an interest in the law. She considers family law the perfect combination of her areas of interest. Cassandra considers herself to be a people person and enjoys working one on one with clients. She is a good listener and combines empathy with knowledge of the law to her clients’ benefit. Cassandra has a special interest in domestic violence cases, having worked for a prosecutor’s office and volunteered for a domestic violence shelter.
Before joining Cole Miller PLLC, Cassandra clerked for the judges of Virginia’s Fourteenth Judicial Circuit, which exposed her to a wide variety of family law cases and legal issues and gave her insight into the workings of a Virginia court. She is active in several bar associations, including the Virginia Women Attorneys Association and the Fairfax Bar Association.
In her spare time, Cassandra enjoys yoga, travelling, and cheering on the Virginia Tech Hokies (over Nicole Grejda’s Lions).
